Foundation Profile

The Nipponham Foundation for the Future of Food (NFFF) was established on January 27, 2015 by NH Foods Ltd.

In the four years since its establishment, NFFF has devoted itself to food allergies, which continue to be an issue in dietary life, and has led a range of activities with the aim of addressing the challenges facing society and improving the surrounding environment. These activities are driven by the management resources (development of food products and testing techniques, and associated projects) and experiences in the field of food allergies that have accumulated at NH Foods Ltd. for over 20 years.

With respect to domestic trends concerning food allergies, the Basic Law on Measures Against Allergic Diseases, which includes other types of allergies in addition to food allergies, came into effect, and was followed by the announcement of basic guidelines for its implementation. This indicates that food allergies now require society-wide action. As a unique foundation in Japan that leads science-based activities specializing in food allergies, NFFF will endeavor to respond to society’s needs and demands, with the aim of growing into a dynamic and trusted team.
